Sync from BGG & Discogs

Sync your board game or music collection from external services.

How sync works

If you already track your collection on BoardGameGeek (board games) or Discogs (music), you can sync your entire collection into Owlect with one tap. Owlect downloads all your items with details, images, and metadata.

Board Games (BoardGameGeek)

  • 1Create a Board Games collection
  • 2Go to the Import page
  • 3Enter your BGG username
  • 4Tap "Sync Now"
  • 5Owlect downloads your games with name, year, player count, play time, rating, and images
  • Music (Discogs)

  • 1Create a Music collection
  • 2Go to the Import page
  • 3Tap "Connect Discogs"
  • 4Sign in to your Discogs account and allow access
  • 5Owlect imports all your records with artist, album, genre, label, and cover images
  • Data refresh

After the initial sync, you can re-sync to pick up new additions. How often you can sync depends on your plan:

  • Free — every 7 days
  • Plus — daily
  • You can also disable sync in the integration settings on the Import page to protect your manual edits from being overwritten.
