- Owlect is a free, mobile-first app for cataloging collections of any kind. You create a collection, add items with photos and custom fields, then share the result through a public link or QR code. It runs in any browser with nothing to install, and you sign in with Google.
- Is Owlect free to use?
- Yes. The free plan covers up to 3 collections holding 100 items in total, along with photos, public sharing, and every catalog integration, with no ads and no credit card required. Owlect Plus costs $3 per month or $30 per year and lifts that ceiling to 2000 items spread across as many as 100 collections.
- What types of collections can I track?
- Owlect ships with 15 ready-made types: dolls, board games, music, coins, Pokémon cards, video games, LEGO, comic books, books, watches, cars, Hot Wheels, sneakers, stamps, and Funko Pop. If none of those fit, a custom type lets you define your own fields from scratch.
- Can I share my collection with other people?
- Every collection gets its own public link and QR code. Visitors browse your items, photos, and details on a mobile-friendly page without creating an account. You choose what stays private, and you can revoke the link at any time from the share dialog.
- Can I import a collection I already have?
- Yes. Owlect syncs board games from BoardGameGeek and records from Discogs using just your username, and imports any collection from a CSV file. You can also add books, LEGO, Pokémon cards, comics, coins, watches, and cars by lookup, which fills in the details for you.
- How is Owlect different from a spreadsheet?
- You get photos on every item, autocomplete from catalogs like BoardGameGeek and Discogs, gallery and table views, condition and value tracking, and a public page you can share. Import your current spreadsheet as CSV and you keep everything you already typed.
